Art has always been fundamental for me. Since I was a kid it was always my way of showing my feelings. Not only is it a calming and entertaining pastime, but it also serves as an outlet for my emotions.

 

Since November of 2024, I have taken art classes with a professor who teaches in a borrowed classroom at a small religious school in Managua. While there, I was captivated by the beautiful murals covering the walls, each telling a unique story. But, I also noticed that most, if not all, remained unfinished due to a lack of materials and funds. That realization stuck with me. I felt grateful to have art as a means of expression—but guilty that others didn’t have the same opportunity.

 

That’s why I decided to design and sell T-shirts to raise funds for low-income schools in Nicaragua, helping them build and expand their art departments. This initiative has allowed me to merge my love for art with my commitment to supporting creative education. It’s not just about giving students the chance to draw and paint, but about equipping them with the tools and techniques to let their creativity flow and express themselves fully. 

 

If all goes well, I plan on expanding my brand introducing new designs, additional drops, and possibly other clothing pieces. With Give & Wear I hope to continue to create something meaningful, using creativity not just for self-expression, but as a way to inspire and empower others.
